Free Features

The following features are available to all registered users at no cost:

• –Browsing, searching, and viewing community-shared film simulation recipes
• –Creating, editing, and sharing your own recipes, including importing the settings from a Fujifilm JPEG
• –Reading every Academy article and glossary entry (the guided six-module pathway is a Pro feature, with Module 1 free to all)
• –Participating in the community (comments, favourites, following users)
• –Saving recipes to your favourites

Paid Tiers

X-Alchemy currently offers two paid options. Both unlock the same premium feature set; they differ only in billing structure.

• –X-Alchemy Pro (£4.99/month, or £47.88 a year billed as one payment, which works out at £3.99/month). Unlocks the AI-powered Film Recipe Builder (25 generations per calendar month), saved drafts, batch import, the guided Academy pathway, and priority support. Auto-renews on the chosen cycle until cancelled.
• –Founders (£149 one-time). Limited to 20 seats in total. A single payment grants Pro access for the operating life of X-Alchemy, with no recurring charges, plus a numbered Founders badge on your profile. Once all 20 seats are claimed, the offer is closed permanently.

Current pricing and tier details are listed on the Pricing page. We may introduce additional premium features in the future, which will be communicated to active subscribers and Founders.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, our third-party payment provider. X-Alchemy does not store your full credit card details. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

X-Alchemy Pro (Subscription)

• –Billed monthly or annually at the price displayed at the time of subscription. The annual plan is charged as a single payment covering twelve months, not as twelve instalments
• –Renews automatically at the end of each billing period on the same cycle until you cancel
• –Includes an allowance of 25 AI recipe generations per calendar month. Unused generations do not carry over. As with Founders, this is a fair-use allowance rather than a fixed entitlement, and we may adjust it with at least 30 days' advance notice
• –Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include applicable taxes where required
• –We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers; you may cancel before the new price takes effect

Founders Tier (One-Time Payment)

• –A single one-time payment of £149 grants access to Pro features for the operating life of X-Alchemy, with no recurring charges
• –Strictly limited to 20 seats in total. Allocation is first-come, first-served and tracked by seat number
• –Founders access is tied to your X-Alchemy account and is non-transferable
• –Founders receive an AI generation allowance of 100 recipes per calendar month. This is a fair-use allowance rather than a fixed entitlement; we may adjust it with at least 30 days' advance notice, as we may for Pro
• –New Pro features are included as they are released. Where a future feature carries a materially higher per-use cost than the current AI builder, it may be offered as a separate add-on rather than included. We will say so when it launches
• –Founders status is contingent on the continued operation of X-Alchemy. If the service is permanently discontinued or sold, access cannot be guaranteed beyond the operating life of the platform (see Service Availability below)
• –Once a Founders seat is claimed and payment is processed, the purchase is final

Cancellation

• –Pro subscribers may cancel at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your account
• –Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until then
• –No partial refunds are given for unused portions of a billing period
• –Founders is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and therefore has no cancellation

Refunds

• –Pro refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis
• –If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using paid features, please contact us and we will work to resolve it or issue a refund
• –Refunds are not available for services that have been fully delivered and consumed (e.g., AI-generated recipes already created)
• –Founders purchases are non-refundable once a seat has been claimed, given the strictly limited supply

Upgrading from Pro to Founders

While Founders seats remain available, existing Pro subscribers may purchase a Founders seat. Once the seat is claimed, the recurring Pro subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period: you retain Pro access for the remainder of the period you have paid for, and are not charged again. No pro-rata refund is issued for the current Pro billing period.

Content Responsibility

• –You are solely responsible for all content and media you upload, share, or post on X-Alchemy
• –You must ensure you have the legal right to share any images, recipes, or other content
• –You agree to indemnify X-Alchemy against any claims arising from your uploaded content
• –You retain ownership of content you create and share
• –By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on our platform
• –You must not post copyrighted material without permission

AI-Generated Content

• –Recipes generated by the AI tool are provided as starting points and creative suggestions
• –AI-generated recipes should be tested and verified before sharing with the community
• –X-Alchemy makes no guarantee that AI-generated settings will produce specific results on your camera

Platform Content

All platform design, code, and original content is owned by X-Alchemy and protected by copyright laws.

Service Availability

We provide the service "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, including availability of AI generation features.

Limitation of Liability

X-Alchemy is not liable for any damages arising from user-shared content, AI-generated content, or your use of such content. This includes but is not limited to:

• –Damages from inaccurate or misleading recipe information
• –Copyright infringement claims related to user-uploaded content
• –Personal or property damage resulting from following user-shared or AI-generated advice
• –Any conflicts or disputes between users
• –Payment processing errors handled by Stripe

Camera Settings

Film simulation recipes, whether user-created or AI-generated, are provided for educational purposes. We are not responsible for any camera damage or unsatisfactory results.
